At the heart of Ahmedabad's local governance is the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Empowered by the GPMC Act, AMC is committed to transparent and efficient administration. Covering an expansive 480 sq.km., AMC tirelessly caters to civic needs, embracing Information Technology for modern governance. With a focus on e-Governance, AMC aims to integrate workflows seamlessly, providing faster and more efficient services to citizens. Revenue sources include property tax, professional tax, and vehicle tax, collected through 64 City Civic Centers (CCCs) spread across the city's 7 zones and 64 wards.
